Ordering custom shirts for a group usually falls apart in the same place: one person ends up chasing sizes in a group chat, collecting money one by one, and hoping the count is right.
Our group orders are built to skip that part — starting with one decision: who pays? Groups come in two kinds. Sometimes one person or organization is supplying the shirts. Sometimes everyone is buying their own. Threadmates group orders work both ways.

Path 1: The organizer pays for everyone
Best when a company, school, coach, or organizer is covering the group.
- The organizer sets up the group on our group orders page — the group, the design, and the garment. One design covers the whole group, and sizes can mix: you don't need 12 of the same size, you need 12 pieces of the same design.
- Members add their own names and sizes with the Member Signup form — no chasing sizes in a group chat, no spreadsheet to keep straight. The roster builds itself, and the organizer sees the full tally before paying.
- We tally it into one checkout. We convert the roster into one draft order and send the organizer a single checkout link to review and pay. Groups of 12 or more pieces are priced from our bulk catalog — the exact quote varies by how many sides are printed, sleeve prints, and garment, so it's quoted on the group's invoice. Shipping is quoted separately, and the whole batch ships to the organizer in one box.
Path 2: Everyone pays for their own
Best for spirit wear, clubs, reunions, and fan groups, where each person buys their own shirt.
- The organizer sets up the design once — in our Design Studio, or by ordering one piece first.
- We give the organizer a design link to share. It opens the garment with the design already placed, so every member sees the same design.
- Each member orders their own — their size, their checkout, shipped to them — before the group's deadline. Members order at regular website custom prices: a custom T-Shirt is $20 one side / $25 front and back, a custom sweatshirt is $35 / $40, and a custom hoodie is $40 / $45.
Either way, everything is printed with DTG or DTF in our River Edge, New Jersey studio. We're an online studio, so setup, signup, and checkout all happen online; no walk-ins needed. Not sure which design to commit to? Businesses and teams can get a free printed sample tee first.
And if your group is really just you, our guide to printing one custom T-Shirt covers the regular one-off customizer — same studio, no minimum at all.
